automagic mirroring
The works of the automagic-congeries are based on a text written by the artist. A first-person litany is transposed into different media with the outcome of a talking mirror, serial text paintings, graffiti on the wall and of course the automagics, which are coloured in contrary to the black and white Metal Dramas. At first glance the embossed metals show incomprehensible letter combinations but then reveal auto-suggestive optative sentences.
An apparently private text is dissected to be exposed in public. In doing so the forces of words are evoked as a personal therapy for the everyday by questioning their meaning in the context of different media.
